2022-23 (Senior Season): In the fall, Selen Takunyaci finished with an undefeated day at the UConn Invitational winning her match in singles play and winning both matches in doubles play with her partner, Nansi Toskova. In the spring, finished with a 10-9 overall doubles record. In conference play, went 5-2 which led all Huskies in winning percentage.
2021-22 (Junior Season): Played at the No. 6 spot in singles and finished with a 3-8 record...In doubles she was 3-3 on the season...Won three of her last four singles matches during the spring season...Posted a win in the BIG EAST Tournament to help the Huskies beat Villanova in the opening round.
2020-21 (Sophomore Season): Played the majority of the season at the No. 5 singles position...Posted an 8-4 singles record...Ended the season winning three of her last four matches...Was 2-1 against BIG EAST teams...In doubles, posted an 8-5 record for the year...She teamed with Denise Lai for an 8-4 record playing at the No. 2 position...Finished 2-1 against BIG EAST teams...Named an ITA Scholar-Athlete.
2019-20 (Freshman Season): Posted a 7-5 record in singles play during her freshman year, with the spring season cut short…Was 4-2 during the spring dual match season…Also won four doubles matches during the year…Had a pair of wins in the fall over Akron and Xavier during the Cleveland State Viking Invite…Got singles wins vs Bryant, Seton Hall, Binghamton and LIU during the spring season.
Before UConn: Attended TED Istanbul College in Istanbul, Turkey…Trained at GD Tennis Academy…Named a member of the Turkish National Team Member…Ranked the #11 singles player and #8 doubles player in Turkey.
