2018-19 (Freshman Season): Saw action in 15 games making 14 starts in net for the Huskies...Finished the season with a 7-7-0 record…Posted a 2.32 goals against average…Made 377 saves and had a .922 save percentage sitting him fourth among all Hockey East netminders…Recorded his first shutout against Merrimack (Feb. 09) saving all 29 shots on goal…Made a career high 34 saves in the 5-1 victory over the Vermont Catamounts (Mar. 01)…Picked up wins over two nationally ranked Hockey East opponents in Northeastern (Feb. 07) and UMass (Mar. 08)…Named Pro Ambitions Hockey East Rookie of the Week on Oct. 22 after helping the Huskies to a 3-1 victory over RPI for his first collegiate start…Named to the Hockey East Pro Ambitions All-Rookie Team.

Before UConn: Spent the 2017-18 season playing for the Lincoln Stars of the USHL…Appeared in 44 games in 2017-18, second most among all goaltenders in the USHL…Played to a 2.79 goals against average and a .903 save percentage while posting a 24-19-0 record…In 2016-17, he played for the Corpus Christi Ice Rays of the NAHL where he posted a 2.43 goals against average and a .923 save percentage in 41 games and was named the team’s MVP and Best Rookie…In international play, Vomacka played for the Czech Republic U18, U17 and U16 teams from 2014 through 2017…Attended University of Nebraska High School.
