AS A JUNIOR (2019): Saw action in 92 sets, 27 matches…Recorded 148 kills, 11 service aces, 89 blocks, 56 digs and 212.5 points…Hit at a .238 clip on the season…Grabbed a season high in kills (14) against Providence and blocks (10) against Boston College.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2018): Season highs 14 kills vs. Houston on Sep. 23rd, 17 points vs. Houston and eight blocks vs. Syracuse on Sep. 1st...AAC Big Match: hit. 619 at Houston on Sep. 23rd (minimum of 12 kills)...Played in 81 sets, 22 matches, posted a total of 143 kills, hit .276, 24 digs, 11 solo blocks, 62 block assists, 73 total blocks, and 187 points.Â
AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2017): Played in all 32 matches … put together a successful freshman campaign- pacing all players with 94 total blocks and 82 block assists … recorded 191 kills … collected eight service aces and two assists … one two occasions earned a personal-best 11 kills … earned five double-digit kills performances … tallied a personal-best two service aces at St. John’s (Aug. 26) … notched a personal-high five digs at SMU (Nov. 11).
AS A FRESHMAN (2016):Â Did not see action as a true freshman ... recieved a redshit for the season.
Before UConn: Four-year letterwinner in volleyball at Sunset High School…First Team All-League in 2013 and 2015…Intended major is sport management.
Personal: Genevieve Michelle Florig is the daughter of David Florig and Caryn Tierney…She has one older sister, Sarah...Exploratory major.
