Huskies Move to #9 in NFHCA Poll

STORRS, Conn. - Following a 2-0 weekend which featured wins over the University of New Hampshire and no.20 Saint Joseph's, the UConn women's field hockey team has moved up to no.9 in the NFHCA poll.

UConn had a dominating weekend in which they scored nine total goals while only allowing one goal vs. no. 20 Saint Joseph's. The Huskies received contributions from all classes as freshman Lucy Zich was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week for her performance, and sophomore Abby Davidson scored three goals in two games, alongside Natalie McKenna's outstanding play in net.

The Huskies will now turn their attention to another two-game road trip as they face off against Brown Friday September 4, and no.3 Harvard September 6.
