BIG EAST Announces 2026-27 MBB Schedule

NEW YORK โย The BIG EAST conference announced the league schedule for the 2026-27 men's basketball season on Monday (Sept. 14). UConn will commence the conference campaign on Dec. 23 vs. Georgetown, beginning a true 20-game round robin with home and away fixtures against each foe that concludes on March 6 at Xavier.ย
The 2026-27 season will mark UConn's 41stย playing in the BIG EAST conference. The Huskies are 409-263 (.609) all-time in BIG EAST regular season action. UConn has been the league's most successful in winning championships, holding or tying the league record with eight BIG EAST Tournament titles and 11 regular season crowns. The last of both came in 2023-24, when the Huskies set a league record with 18 conference wins and swept the regular season and tournament titles.ย
Since returning to the conference ahead of the 2020-21 campaign, UConn is a league-best 86-30 (.741) in regular season BIG EAST play. The Huskies have finished top-four in the league standings in each of the last six seasons and reached the semifinals of the conference tournament every year, including two trips to the title game in the last three seasons and the 2024 dual crown.
