UConn to Face LSU in 2026 espnW Invitational

STORRS, Conn. – The UConn women's basketball team will face LSU in the second Sprouts Farmers Market espnW Invitational on Sunday, Dec. 20, at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn.
The game features two of the last four NCAA Champions and Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame head coaches Geno Auriemma and Kim Mulkey in the programs' first meeting since 2016.
UConn is 8-1 all-time vs. LSU. The teams last met on Nov. 20, 2016.
The espnW Invitational will also feature Virginia vs. Kentucky.
Game times and ESPN network designations will be announced at a later date.
Tickets for the Dec. 20 doubleheader at Bridgestone Arena will go on sale this fall. Fans can secure first access to the beat seats now by registering for the pre-sale at www.espnWinvitational.com.
UConn's 2026-27 non-conference schedule is shaping up to be one of the strongest in the nation as the Huskies have announced games vs. seven teams featured in the ESPN Way-Too-Early Top 25: No. 1 South Carolina, No. 3 Duke, No. 4 Michigan, No. 6 Iowa, No. 7 Louisville, No. 10 LSU and No. 21 Maryland. The second-ranked Huskies will also face No. 8 Texas in an exhibition.
