STORRS, Conn. – The UConn women's basketball team added guard Marine Dursus to the 2026-27 roster, head coach Geno Auriemma announced Friday.
"It's exciting to find players who naturally are blessed with the ability to score," Auriemma said. "I think Marine's greatest assets are she plays exceptionally hard, she's competitive and she's used to playing at a high level. She gives us another scorer, which fills a need for us. We're thrilled that we could add her to our roster."
A native of Strasbourg, France, Dursus is a 5-foot-10 shooting guard. She has represented the French Youth National Team since 2021.
Dursus won gold at the 2024 FIBA U20 EuroBasket, silver at the 2023 FIBA U18 Women's European Championship and bronze at the 2022 FIBA U17 Basketball World Cup and U18 European Championship.
Dursus averaged 13.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game at the 2025 U20 Women's EuroBasket and 12.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game at the 2024 U20 EuroBasket.
Dursus played for Angers in La Boulangère Wonderligue (LBWL), the top women's French professional basketball league, from 2022-26. This season, she is averaging 9.9 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists while shooting 52.9% from the field and 41.2% from three-point range.
She participated in the NBA's 2024 Basketball Without Borders Global Women's Camp in Phoenix, where UConn sophomore Blanca Quiñonez also competed.
Dursus is the second player from France to play for UConn following Lou Lopez Sénéchal (2022-23). She is the fourth player representing France to be a Husky as Gabby Williams (2014-18) has played for Les Bleues since 2021 and Bria Hartley (2010-14) played for France from 2018-20.
Dursus joins incoming freshmen Olivia Vukosa and Jovana Popovic as newcomers on UConn's roster next season.
