Tom Messineo Signs Professional Tryout Agreement with San Jose Barracudas

STORRS, Conn. - Following the completion of the 2025-26 season, UConn men's hockey defenseman Tom Messineo (Westwood, Mass.) signed a professional contract with the Kansas City Mavericks the ECHL affiliate of the NHL Seattle Kraken.

In four seasons with the Huskies, Messineo never missed a game, appearing in 148 games, scoring three goals with 31 assists for 34 total points.

Following his appearance with the Mavericks, Messineo signed a Professional Tryout Agreement with the San Jose Barracuda, the AHL affiliate of the San Jose Sharks.
