NEW YORK – UConn women's basketball senior Serah Williams was selected with the 33rd overall pick in the third round of the 2026 WNBA Draft on Monday at The Shed at Hudson Yards in New York City.
Williams is UConn's 52nd WNBA college draft selection since the league's inception in 1997.
Graduate student Azzi Fudd was selected with the No. 1 overall pick by the Dallas Wings earlier Monday.
This is the 18th time multiple Huskies were taken in the same draft.
In her one season in Storrs, Williams immediately joined the starting lineup and won her first regular season and conference championships and appeared in her first NCAA Tournament and Final Four.
Williams finished her collegiate career with 1,748 points, 951 rebounds and 262 blocks. She was the 2024 Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year and a two-time All-Big Ten First Team and All-Defensive Team selection.
Williams joins UConn aums Aaliyah Edwards and Olivia Nelson-Ododa on the Sun roster. Fellow UConn alumna Morgan Tuck is the general manager of the organization.
