No. 1 UConn to Host Butler for Pink Game

STORRS, Conn. – The top-ranked UConn women's basketball team (24-0, 13-0 BIG EAST) hosts Butler (9-14, 3-10) Saturday at noon in PeoplesBank Arena in Hartford. The game will air on FS1 and the UConn Sports Network from Learfield (FOX Sports 97.9).
Saturday is UConn's annual Play4Kay Pink Game. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to the game as the Huskies play in support of breast cancer awareness. During the game, members of UConn Nation who have battled or are currently battling breast cancer will be recognized.
Sophomore Sarah Strong, who is a Kay Yow Servant Leader, has partnered with the NIL Store on a Play4Kay collection, with her proceeds directly benefitting the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
The Huskies lead the nation with 24.7 assists per game. UConn has dished out 20+ assists in its last 23 games. Four Huskies rank in the top 25 nationally in assist-turnover ratio.
Graduate student Azzi Fudd scored 25 points on 10-17 shooting with four three pointers to lead UConn to an 86-40 win at DePaul on Wednesday. Sophomore Sarah Strong had 14 points, six rebounds and five assists while junior KK Arnold had 12 points, four rebounds, six assists and three steals.
 The Huskies shot 60.7% vs. the Blue Demons. UConn had 30 assists on 37 made field goals.
Including BIG EAST Tournament games, the Huskies have won 60 straight league games.
UConn is 9-0 all-time vs. Butler. The teams last met on Dec. 28 in Indianapolis, a 94-47 win for UConn. Sophomore Sarah Strong led the Huskies with 15 points, six rebounds and seven assists in the game.
Butler fell to Villanova, 67-57, on Wednesday. This season, Saniya Jackson leads the Bulldogs with 9.7 points per game while Mallory Miller is averaging 9.6. Head coach Austin Parkinson is in his fourth season at Butler.
