No. 1 Huskies Travel to Marquette Saturday

STORRS, Conn. – The top-ranked UConn women's basketball team (26-0, 15-0 BIG EAST) travels to Marquette (16-9, 10-6) Saturday at 1 p.m. ET/noon CT. The game will air on FS1 and the UConn Sports Network from Learfield (FOX Sports 97.9).
Five Huskies scored in double digits as UConn beat Creighton, 94-44, on Wednesday in Gampel Pavilion. Sophomore Allie Ziebell led UConn off the bench with 20 points while graduate student Azzi Fudd had 19. The Huskies shot 53.8% from beyond the arc vs. the Bluejays.
Including BIG EAST Tournament games, the Huskies have won 62 straight league games.
UConn is 23-1 all-time vs. Marquette. The teams last met on Dec. 17 in Hartford, an 89-53 win for the Huskies. Sophomore Sarah Strong led UConn with 17 points and seven rebounds in the game.
Junior KK Arnold (Germantown) and sophomore Allie Ziebell (Neenah) are Wisconsin natives. Senior Serah Williams played her first three college seasons at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
Marquette lost to Seton Hall, 70-58, last Wednesday. This season, Skylar Forbes leads the Golden Eagles with 15.5 points per game. Head coach Cara Consuegra is in her second season at Marquette.
