UCONN SELECTS OAK VIEW GROUP TO MANAGE CONCESSIONS AND CATERING FOR ALL ON-CAMPUS ATHLETICS VENUES

STORRS, CT – The University of Connecticut Department of Athletics today announced the selection of Oak View Group (OVG), a global leader in live venue development, premium hospitality, and entertainment services, as the exclusive concessions and catering provider for all on-campus athletics facilities, including Harry A. Gampel Pavilion, the iconic on-campus basketball home of the 18-time national champion UConn women's and men's basketball teams.
OVG Hospitality has launched its hospitality program with UConn Athletics in the current 2025-26 academic year at the many competition venues on the Storrs campus.
"We are excited to partner with OVG Hospitality to elevate the gameday experience for our loyal Husky fans," said UConn Director of Athletics David Benedict. "As we continue to enhance our facilities on campus, we look forward to growing our concessions program with OVG Hospitality and creating appealing, diverse and fan-friendly offerings which make attending UConn events even more enjoyable. Further, with OVG Hospitality's robust portfolio of clients, including their presence at our off-campus home venues, we are confident that their food service expertise will benefit the many people who annually come to campus to cheer for the Huskies."
Planned enhancements will focus on expanded menu variety, streamlined service, upgraded concessions technology with an emphasis on integrating regional partners and local flavors like Bear's Smokehouse BBQ, and other New England favorites that will resonate with fans.
"As someone who grew up in Colchester, Connecticut – just 30 minutes away from campus – and spent time during my childhood going to UConn games at Gampel Pavilion, this partnership is especially meaningful," said Ken Gaber, President of OVG Hospitality. "We understand the pride UConn fans feel every time they cheer on the teams across campus. Our goal is to match that energy by elevating concessions and catering with a fresh and fun approach, most authentic to the Huskies."
This hospitality partnership builds on Oak View Group's broader management role at the off-campus venues where the Huskies play, including Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field, home of UConn Football, and PeoplesBank Arena, which hosts a number of UConn Men's and Women's Basketball and UConn Men's Hockey games each season.
Together, UConn and OVG are excited to unite innovative hospitality with outstanding venues to deliver a redefined fan experience.
