Cross Country Races at Ted Owen Invite

STORRS, Conn.- UConn women's cross country returns to action on Saturday afternoon, competing at the Ted Owen Invite at Stanley Quarter Park in New Britain, Connecticut.
The Huskies will look to carry over their strong performance from their opening race at the University of Hartford Invitational on September 6th. Ally McCarthy (Sandy Hook, Conn.) led the charge for UConn, finishing first in the 3k race with a course record time of 10:44.0. All six UConn runners finished in the top 10, with Claire Paci (Greencastle, Pa.) and Loghan Hughes (Enosburg, Vt.) setting new personal-bests, finshing second and third overall, respectively.
"September has been a great month of consistent training, "said Head Coach Beth Alford-Sullivan. "We are excited to open the squad with a 5k race at Central Connecticut State. We are looking forward to the competition and seeing the team take another step forward."
UConn will toe the line at 12:00pm on Saturday.
