Huskies Announce 2025 Incoming Class

STORRS, Conn. - The UConn Field Hockey program and Head Coach Paul Caddy has announced the incoming class 2025 season. The diverse group includes one transfer and eight incoming freshmen, hailing from both the United States and internationally.
"I am excited about our incoming class," said head coach Paul Caddy. "The incoming class strengthens us across all lines and adds depth to an experienced group as we look to go back-to-back as BIG EAST Champions.
The Huskies open their season with on the road vs. the University of New Hampshire on August 29, with their home opener September 7 vs. Brown at 1pm.
MEET THE INCOMING CLASS
Olivia is an incoming transfer from Madrid Spain. Machiavelli played her first year of collegiate field hockey at Rider University. In her freshman season, Machiavelli appeared and started in 19 games scoring 15 goals with four assists. Machiavelli was named NEC Offensive Player of the Year, NEC First-Team All NEC and a five-time NEC Rookie of the week.
Head Coach Paul Caddy – "Olivia was one of only two Division I freshmen to score 15 goals last season. She brings scoring power and is a dangerous transition threat who will bolster our attack immediately."
Sydney is an incoming freshman from Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. As a defender Moritz appeared in a total of 34 games, scoring nine goals with eight assists. Mortiz fired 28 total shots on goal and averaged .8 points a game.

An incoming freshman from Shawnee, New Jersey. The midfield/forward was named team captain, and in her senior year was named NFHCA All-American Second Team, Max Field Hockey All-American Second Team, NFHCA All-Region, New Jersey All-State. In addition, Davidson was a top goal scorer in New Jersey group-3 with 46 and was the Olympic Conference top goal scorer (46) and total points leader (101).

Emma Larit
An incoming freshman from Staples, Connecticut, Laritt in her senior year helped lead Staples High School to a Connecticut State Title. Named to the top 100 max field hockey players and a gold medalist at the Nexus rise games.
Head Coach Paul Caddy – "Emma, a Connecticut State Champion and versatile athlete, joins us from Staples HS and AGH. She brings a relentless work rate to our program and can contribute to multiple positions. Emma and her family Bleed Blue!"
Infante stays local as she comes to UConn from Glastonbury CT. Infante is a four-time varsity starter, a four-time All-Conference selection, three-time All-State and a two-time NFHCA All-Region selection. In addition, Infante was named as a top 25 player to watch in CT and a NFHCA Top 100 player to watch in the nation.

An incoming freshman from the Netherlands, Prins is a versatile athlete who has the ability play multiple positions. In her career Pien has reached the quarterfinals at Nationals with her U16 team in 2023, semi-finals with her U18 team and was a national champion in the 3 vs. 3 hockey in 2018.
Head Coach Paul Caddy - "Pien is a technically gifted midfielder who can play across both midfield and forward lines. She brings poise, vision, and confidence on the ball."
An incoming freshman from the Netherlands, as an offensive power, Keet helped lead Amsterdam Hockey Club to 2nd place in Europe U-18 EHCO Tournament.
Head Coach Paul Caddy – "Keet is a midfielder/defender who has competed with the women's first team at one of the top clubs in the world. She brings high-level experience and technical excellence to our midfield and backfield."
Grigoliet is an incoming freshman defender from Germany, won the German indoor championship in 2018 and 2020, won the German Championship in 2018 and 2019 as well as a German Vice Championship in 2023. Additionally helped lead her team to third place finish at the EHCC in 2019 and 2024.
Head Coach Paul Caddy – "Zita is a composed and experienced defender who has played in Germany's Bundesliga 1 with one of the nation's top clubs. She'll add calm and control to our back line."
Lena Brujes
Lena Brujes is an incoming freshman from Hamburg, Germany. During the 2024-25 season, Brujes helped lead Harvestehuder THC to a Budesliga title. In addition, Lene was a German indoor and outdoor champion for U16 in 2022 and 2023, as well as a German Championship in 2023 and 2024 for U18.
Head Coach Paul Caddy – "Lene joins us after helping her team win the 2024-25 Bundesliga title. She's a natural scorer and creator who will make an immediate impact up front."
