Huskies Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Honors

NEW ORLEANS, La.- UConn men's & women's track and field earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Association All-Academic Team honors, the organization announced.
On the women's side, the Huskies posted the second-highest GPA in Division I, with a mark of 3.788. with eight student-athletes being named to the all-academic team. On the men's side, the Huskies posted a 3.297 GPA, with six student-athletes being named to the all-academic team.
To be eligible for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Award, institutions must post a least a 3.0 GPA for the academic year. All nominated student-athletes all achieved a GPA of 3.25 or higher including the most recent grading period. Athletic criteria for the award can be met in either the indoor season, the outdoor season, or both. Nominated student-athletes must have completed at least two semesters at the certifying institution.
