Goode and Heard Named PING All-Northeast Region

STORRS, CT - UConn's Connor Goode (Glastonbury, CT) and Alex Heard (Boca Raton, FL) have been named to the 2025 NCAA Division I PING All-Northeast Region Team, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America. The GCAA names All-Region honorees across six regions of the country and from 82 schools in 2025. Goode was one of three Husky golfers this season to play in all 11 events and all 32 rounds. He finished the season posting a 71.5 per round average while leading the team with four top-10 and six top-20 finishes. He played 15 rounds at par or better on the year. He was UConn's top-finisher in five tournaments with his best outings being a pair of fourth place finishes. He took fourth at the Xavier Invitational back in the fall, posting a three-round score of 212 including his low round of the year, a 66 during his second round. In the spring, he took home a fourth-place finish at the Golfweek Invitational, shooting under par in all three rounds to come home with a season-low 208. Heard had a tremendous spring for the Huskies, culminating in winning individual medalist honors at the BIG EAST Championship and earning a spot in the NCAA Amherst Regional tournament. Heard earned All-BIG EAST honors this season. He finished the season playing 10 events and 28 rounds, leading the Huskies with a 71.5 scoring average. During the spring he posted three top-10 finishes and, on the year, played 16 of his 28 rounds at par or better. His first collegiate win came in the conference tournament when he fired three rounds under par for a career-low score of 205. His tournament also featured his lowest round as a Husky, posting a 66 in round two. His first event of the spring, the Dorado Beach Collegiate, saw Heard tie for second place, finishing with three rounds under par of a 207.
