Huskies Hit The Road for Matchups Against Hoyas and Blue Hens

STORRS, Conn. - Â The UConn women's field hockey team is back in action this weekend as they travel to take on Georgetown University Friday sept. 27 and the University of Delaware Sunday sept. 29. Both games are set to begin at noon.
The no. 11 ranked Huskies will head to the nation's capital for their second conference matchup of the season. Â The Huskies are led by a balanced attack, however the freshman for the Huskies continue to shine. Freshman Sophie Perschk and Juul Sauer are tied for the team lead with seven goals, while sophomore Natalie McKenna continues to shine in goal.
Georgetown currently sits at 0-1 in conference play and 2-5 overall. The Hoyas are coming off a 1-1 weekend which featured a 6-1 loss to Villanova and a 3-2 win over LIU. Leading the way for Georgetown is Sophie Towne who has three goals and two assists for eight total points. This will be the 20 matchup between the two teams with UConn currently undefeated against the Hoyas with a record of 19-0.
Following their BIG EAST matchup, the Huskies will travel to Delaware for a non-conference matchup. Delaware currently sits at 4-3 overall, and a 1-0 in their conference play. The Blue Hens are coming off a 2-0 weekend which featured wins over Towson and American. The Blue Hens have a balanced attack with eight athletes having scored this season.
