No. 15 Huskies to Host Georgetown for Senior Night

STORRS, Conn. – The 15th-ranked UConn women's basketball team (21-5, 13-0 BIG EAST) will hold Senior Night on Friday vs. Georgetown (16-9, 6-8) at 7 p.m. The game will air on SNY and the UConn Sports Network (FOX Sports 97.9).
UConn will honor seniors Paige Bueckers, Aaliyah Edwards, Aubrey Griffin and Nika Mühl in a postgame ceremony. Fans should plan on staying in their seats as the ceremony will begin a few minutes following the final buzzer.
The ceremony will air live on SNY and will be streamed on the UConn women's basketball Facebook and X pages as well as UConn+ and YouTube.
Friday's game is sold out. It's also $2 Miller Lite Night in Gampel.
Over the five seasons the four have been in Storrs, the Huskies have compiled a 139-22 overall record. UConn has won seven conference championships and competed in three NCAA Tournaments, including two Final Fours and a National Championship game appearance.
Five Huskies scored in double digits as UConn beat Xavier, 86-40, on Wednesday. Senior Aaliyah Edwards (16 points, 10 rebounds) and redshirt freshman Ice Brady (11 points, 14 rebounds) each had double-doubles. The Huskies had a season-high 56 rebounds. Redshirt junior Paige Bueckers notched 20 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Senior Nika Mühl had 11 assists for her fifth double-digit assist game of the season. UConn had 31 assists on 36 made field goals.
UConn is 53-6 all-time vs. Georgetown. The Huskies have won the last 36 meetings between the teams. The Huskies beat the Hoyas, 83-55, in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 7. Senior Aaliyah Edwards led the Huskies with 18 points and six rebounds.
Georgetown fell to Villanova, 62-47, on Tuesday. This season, Kelsey Ransom is leading the Hoyas with 13.8 points per game. Georgetown's interim head coach is Darnell Haney.
