No. 9 UConn Travels to Seton Hall Wednesday

STORRS, Conn. – The ninth-ranked UConn women's basketball team (11-6, 3-3) plays its fourth road contest in the last five games at Seton Hall (14-3, 6-0 BIG EAST) Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. The game will air on SNY and the UConn Sports Network (The River 105.9).

The Huskies rolled past St. John's, 92-49, in New York last Saturday. Redshirt junior Paige Bueckers posted 22 points (8-9 FG), seven rebounds, three assists and two steals. Redshirt freshman Ice Brady broke out vs. the Red Storm, notching a personal-best 17 points and adding four rebounds. The Huskies shot 64.4% from the field and had 28 assists, their most in a game this season vs. an NCAA opponent.
For the fourth time this season, Ashlynn Shade was named the BIG EAST Freshman of the Week on Monday. In two conference wins last week, Shade averaged 15.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game with no turnovers. She shot 57.1% from the field and 50.0% from three-point range.
The Huskies are 57-10 all-time vs. Seton Hall, including 54-2 under head coach Geno Auriemma. UConn has won the last 37 meetings between the teams.
Seton Hall beat Xavier, 61-47, last Saturday. This season, Azana Baines leads the Pirates with 15.4 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. Head coach Anthony Bozzella is in his 11th season at Seton Hall.
