SASP Announces 2022 Kinsman and Courage Awards

STORRS, Conn. - As the calendar year comes to an end, the Student Athlete Success Program announced the the 2022 Kinsman and Courage Award winners. This year's winners of The Donald Kinsman Award are Carter Turnbull from men's hockey and Natalie Snodgrass from women's hockey and the winner so this year's Courage Award are Justin Willis from baseball and Danika Pasqua from women's hockey.
The Donald Kinsman Award is a longstanding award named after the original director of the Student Athlete Success Program (formerly known as the Counseling Program for Intercollegiate Athletes). It is given in recognition of holistic development with respect to academic achievement and/or improvement, athletic achievement and/or improvement, leadership, service, and evidence of character.
The Courage Award is given to a Husky who exemplifies courage in his or her own handling of personal challenge or adversity, or demonstrates courageous citizenship through support of his or her peers or community in a formidable situation.
These awards are incredibly special to the Student-Athlete Success Program as a way to annually honor our remarkable student-athletes. Congratulations to the 2022 award winners.
