No. 12 FH Falls to No. 1 UNC

The No. 12 UConn field hockey team (8-4, 3-1 BIG EAST) lost a tough battle to No. 1 UNC on Friday afternoon at the George J. Sherman Family Sports Complex.
The Tarheels broke through early into the match and tacked on a pair of goals in the fourth quarter to solidify their win.
Claire Jandewerth led the UConn attack with three shots. The Huskies totaled eight shots on the day, five of which were saved by the two UNC goalkeepers.
Cheyenne Sprecher made 12 saves in the loss; surpassing Diane Hughes in total goalkeeper saves!
Next up, the Huskies will host Villanova on Friday, October 14 at 1 p.m. and Boston College on Sunday, Oct. 16 at 1 p.m.
