UConn Falls to Boston College, 4-1

NEWTON, Mass. – The UConn women's soccer team (2-1-0) suffered its first loss of the season at Boston College (4-0-0), 4-1, Sunday afternoon.
Sophomore goalkeeper Kaitlyn Mahoney made a career-high six saves.
The Eagles started the game aggressively and took a 2-0 lead into halftime.
After notching two shots in the first half, the Huskies pressed more in the second, making 11 shots. BC struck first in the second, scoring at 47:51. Sophomore Jaydah Bedoya scored her second career goal at 77:06 to bring UConn back in it, but the Eagles added another goal at 84:53.
UConn is back in action next Sunday at Albany at 4 p.m.
