UConn to Face Cincinnati for American Championship

UNCASVILLE, Conn. - The top-seeded UConn women's basketball team (28-3, 16-0 American) takes on third-seeded Cincinnati (22-9, 11-5) for the 2020 American Athletic Conference Tournament title Monday at 7 p.m. The game will air on ESPN2 and 97-9 ESPN.
The Huskies beat USF, 79-38, in the American Tournament semifinals Sunday. Junior Megan Walker led UConn offensively with 21 points while sophomore Christyn Williams added 15. UConn forced 19 Bulls turnovers, scoring 23 points off them. The Huskies notched 32 points in the paint.
UConn is 22-0 all-time vs. Cincinnati. The Huskies posted an 80-50 win over the Bearcats on Jan. 30 and a 105-58 win on Feb. 26.
Connecticut has gone 119-0 in regular season American play and 138-0 including tournament play.
UConn went 16-0 in conference play to earn the No. 1 seed in the tournament. The Huskies have won the last six AAC Tournament titles. UConn has outscored its opponents on average by 83.9-49.5 in the American Athletic Conference Tournament over the past six years.
