UConn to Host UCF on Saturday on Senior Day

STORRS, Conn. – The No. 6 UConn women's basketball team (22-3, 12-0 American) hosts UCF (16-8, 8-4) on Senior Day Saturday at 1 p.m. The game will air on SNY/ESPN3 and 97-9 ESPN.
The Huskies will honor Crystal Dangerfield, Kyla Irwin, Molly Bent, Batouly Camara and Evelyn Adebayo Saturday. The seniors has helped lead UConn to a 129-8 overall record, including 60-0 in conference play, seven conference championships and three straight NCAA Final Fours.
Fans coming to Senior Day should plan on being in their seats by 12:30 for the ceremony. The Senior Day ceremony will be aired on SNY ahead of their coverage of the game.
The Huskies posted a 74-31 win over Tulane on Wednesday. Junior Megan Walker and freshman Anna Makurat each notched 18 points in the win. UConn held Tulane to 20 percent shooting from the field, the lowest amount this season.
This is the second time UConn and UCF are facing off this season after the Huskies beat UCF, 59-52, in Orlando on Jan. 16. Junior Megan Walker led UConn with 19 points while sophomore Olivia Nelson-Ododa notched 12 rebounds.
With a win Saturday, the Huskies will clinch the American Athletic Conference regular season title outright for the seventh straight season. UConn is 60-0 in regular-season conference play since joining the American.
Four Huskies were named finalists for the Basketball Hall of Fame's position player of the year awards. Senior Crystal Dangerfield (Nancy Lieberman Award), junior Megan Walker (Cheryl Miller Award), sophomore Christyn Williams (Ann Meyers Drysdale Award) and sophomore Olivia Nelson-Ododa (Lisa Leslie Award) are on the 10-player finalist lists for their positions.
