No. 1 UConn to Host No. 6 Baylor Thursday

STORRS, Conn. – The top-ranked UConn women's basketball team (12-0) faces a tough test as the Huskies take on No. 6 Baylor (11-1) Thursday at 7 p.m. in the XL Center. The game will be broadcast on ESPN and the UConn IMG Sports Network (97-9 ESPN).
UConn is 4-3 all-time against Baylor. Either the Huskies or Lady Bears have been ranked No. 1 in six of their previous meetings.
Super Fans who come to the game decked out in UConn gear and ready to cheer on the Huskies will receive free admission. For criteria on being a Super Fan, click HERE. Tickets will be distributed to the first 200 Super Fans on a first-come, first-served while supplies last at the Box Office in the main atrium of the XL Center.
UConn has won 98 straight home games, dating back to March 23, 2013. The Huskies hold the NCAA record for home streak with 99.
Sophomore Christyn Williams scored 21 points to lead the Huskies to an 80-42 win over SMU in the team's last game. UConn notched 26 fast break points and 23 points off turnovers, and the team had 29 assists on 33 field goals.
UConn moved to 105-0 all-time in American Athletic Conference games with the win. Williams was named the conference's Player of the Week on Monday.
The Huskies will face former standouts Sue Bird, Tina Charles, Diana Taurasi and Breanna Stewart when UConn hosts the U.S. National Team in an exhibition on Monday, Jan. 27, in the XL Center. UConn will celebrate its 2009 and 2010 NCAA Champion teams, which include All-Americans Charles, Maya Moore and Renee Montgomery. Tickets for the exhibition are available HERE.
