No. 4 UConn Returns to Gampel to Host Cincinnati Thursday

STORRS, Conn. – The No. 4 UConn women's basketball team (18-1, 8-0 American) takes on Cincinnati (13-6, 4-2) Thursday in Gampel Pavilion. The teams will tip at 7 p.m. on SNY/ESPN3 and the UConn IMG Sports Network.
UConn's game against Cincinnati with be Huskies & Heroes Night.
The Huskies are 21-0 all-time vs. Cincinnati.
UConn is coming off a 79-64 loss in an exhibition against the USA Women's National Team. Junior Megan Walker led the Huskies with 22 points and seven rebounds. The current squad faced off against UConn greats Sue Bird, Tina Charles, Katie Lou Samuelson, Breanna Stewart and Diana Taurasi.
After Cincinnati, the Huskies will host No. 3 Oregon next Monday at 7 p.m. in Gampel. The game will be a PINK GAME and fans are encouraged to wear pink.
UConn's auction of its black uniforms the team wore against Tennessee ends Thursday. All proceeds from the auction will benefit the Pat Summitt Foundation. To bid on the jerseys, click HERE.
UConn has dominated the American Athletic Conference since joining the league ahead of the 2013-14 season. The Huskies have won every conference regular season and tournament title since joining the American. UConn hasn't dropped a game in regular season conference play, and the Huskies own a 110-0 record in American games. Including the postseason, UConn is 128-0 in American games.
Freshman Anna Makurat repeated as the American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Week after averaging 14.5 points, six rebounds, three assists and 2.5 steals per game last week. Makurat made eight straight three pointers against ECU for a career-high 24 points.
