Huskies Grab Result at No. 21 UCF

ORLANDO, Fla. - The UConn women's soccer team grabbed a big point against No. 21 UCF with a 0-0 draw at the UCF Soccer Complex.
The Huskies (6-8-2, 2-5-1) battled all game against the Knights (8-2-4, 3-1-2) tying UCF with nine shots a piece and two shots on goal.
The UConn defense was solid in front of Randi Palacios, only giving up a pair of shots in the 110 minutes of play.
Kess Elmore led the way with three shots for the Huskies including a near goal in the 65th minute on a bending ball that missed wide to the right.
Sophia Danyko-Kulchycky logged a pair of shots including an opportunity late in the first half on a corner kick that was saved by Caroline Deslisle.
The Huskies will now train for a week while on their American Athletic Conference bye week. The Huskies currently sit in a three-way tie fifth place with seven points. Six teams reach the American Athletic Conference Championship
UConn wraps up the regular season at Dillon Stadium against Temple at 5 p.m. for Senior Night on Thursday, Oct. 31.
