STORRS, Conn. – As part of a week-long trip to the state of Oklahoma, the University of Connecticut softball team has picked up an added regular season game with Oklahoma State on Tuesday, May 10 at 5 p.m. (ET) in Stillwater.
The Huskies (19-28, 4-9 AAC) travel to play a three-game set with Tulsa this weekend and will stay in Oklahoma in preparation for the American Athletic Conference tournament to begin on Thursday, May 12. Tulsa is the host site for the AAC championship.
Originally, the three-game series with the Golden Hurricane was going to wrap-up regular season play, until the Huskies were able to schedule a game against the Cowgirls.
UConn is 1-3 all-time against Oklahoma State (25-22, 4-9 Big 12), but won the most recent meeting, 8-2, on March 6, 2015 at Cowgirl Stadium.
The Huskies currently sit in sixth place in the AAC standings, but have a chance to move up the ranks with a strong series against Tulsa. Full weekend preview to come later this week.
