STORRS, Conn. - For the 17th time in the last 18 seasons, the UConn men's soccer team will play in the NCAA Tournament after it received an at-large bid into the 2015 competition during Monday's online selection show. The Huskies will play Boston University in a First Round match on Thursday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. at Joseph J. Morrone Stadium. "I'm very happy for our group," said 19th-year head coach Ray Reid. "Our team has shown unbelievable resiliency in dealing with adversity all year. We are excited for the opportunity to continue our season in the NCAA Tournament."
UConn advanced to the American Athletic Conference championship game over the weekend at Corbett Stadium in Tampa before bowing out in penalty kicks to Tulsa. The Huskies enter the tournament unbeaten in their last eight matches (6-0-2) and have outscored opponents 15-to-5 over the stretch.
Connecticut will enter the tournament with the 17th-best goals against average (0.74) in the nation and has recorded seven shutouts during the 2015 campaign.
