Game Notes
- UConn improved to 13-2 all-time against USF with Tuesday's 58-44 win over the Bulls. The Huskies have now won three straight over South Florida.
- Tuesday' win gave UConn a 2-0 start on the road this season. It's the first time the Huskies have won both of their first two road games under head coach Kevin Ollie, and it's the first 2-0 mark for Connecticut on the road since the 2008-09 season.
- USF's 44 points against the Huskies marked the lowest for a Connecticut opponent this season. The previous low was 45 by Yale on Dec. 5, 2014.
- Sophomore center Amida Brimah finished the game with a season-high six blocks. His previous best this year was six, and his career-high for blocks in a game is seven.
- The Bulls finished the game with just two 3-pointers, the lowest total for a Husky opponent on the year.
- Connecticut's bench finished the game with 17 points on Tuesday. UConn has received 41 points from its bench over the last two games.
- Junior guard Omar Calhoun led all bench scorers with eight points against USF. He finished the game 2-5 from the 3-point line, and he has now made at least one 3-pointer in each of Connecticut's last four games.
- UConn's 14-point victory Tuesday marked the second-largest defeat in a road game against USF for Connecticut. The Huskies' previous three road games against the Bulls were decided by an average of 4.7 points.
