Softball vs. Sacred Heart Cancelled

STORRS, Conn. - Inclement weather has forced UConn softball to call off its contest for the second consecutive day. Today's game was originally set for March 25 but had been rescheduled to due rain. There will be no makeup date.

UConn will use the opportunity to continue preparation for the series finale this weekend against Central Florida, the top team in the American Athletic Conference. Saturday's doubleheader will be the annual Strike Out Cancer day (read more about the event here) and Sunday will be Senior Day for UConn's three veterans - Katelyn Callahan, Audrey Grinnell and Maddy Schiappa.

More information will be available in the coming days, though fans should be aware that the CT Invention Convention will be held on Saturday, May 3 in Gampel Pavilion. Be sure to account for an influx of traffic when coordinating travel to campus.
