Game Notes vs Coppin State
- With UConn's 106-85 win, the Huskies now lead the all-time series with Coppin State, 6-0.
- UConn's 29-point lead in the 2nd half was the largest lead the Huskies have held this season.
- UConn's 106 points were the most scored since March 12, 2009 against Syracuse when the Huskies lost 127-117 (6 OT's). It was the most points in a win since Quinnipiac (111-75) on Dec. 30, 2005.
- UConn shot a season-best 56.9% from the field today (37-65).
- Amida Brimah scored a career-high 40 points, the 11th player to accomplish the feat.
- It's the 17th time an UConn player has scored 40 points or more in a game. Last time a Husky scored 40 points in a game was Kemba Walker, scoring 42 points, against Vermont on Nov. 17, 2010.
- Amida Brimah and Daniel Hamilton both registered their first career double-doubles. Brimah (40 points, 12 rebounds), Hamilton (11 points, 11 assists).
- First time UConn had two players register a double-double since Jan. 16, 2014 against Memphis. Shabazz Napier (17 points, 10 assists) and DeAndre Daniels (23 points, 11 rebounds) notched double-doubles in that game.
- Hamilton's 11 assists were a new career-high for the freshmen guard.
- Brimah set career highs in free throws made (14), free throw attempts (16), field goals made (13) and field goal attempts (13).
- Kentan Facey contributed a career-high 15 points in the win.
