DURHAM, N.H. - The University of Connecticut women's ice hockey team was shutout in Hockey East action by the University of New Hampshire, 4-0, on Monday night. The game was originally scheduled for Sunday afternoon, but was postponed due to inclement weather in New England.
The Wildcats (12-14-2, 8-7-1) gained a two-goal lead in the first period with goals by Hannah Armstrong and Brittney Redlick just one minute and a half apart.
Armstrong went on to record a hat trick with a goal in the second and a power play score early in the third.
