Huskies Reach BIG EAST Tournament, Will Face Louisville

STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut softball team will be returning to the BIG EAST Championship for the first time since the 2009 season. The Huskies are the No. 8 seed and reached the tournament after posting a 21-26 overall record and a 9-13 mark in the BIG EAST.
The 2012 BIG EAST Softball Championship will be held in South Bend, Ind. at Notre Dame's Melissa Cook Stadium. The Huskies will face No. 1 Louisville on Thursday, May 10 at 12:30 p.m. ET. It will be the first time the two squads have met in the 2012 campaign.
