Buchanan named to All-Northeast Region Team

For the second time in his college career, University of Connecticut senior Jeb Buchanan (Loudonville, N.Y.) has been named to the Division I PING All-Region Golf Team by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
Buchanan was one of 25 college golfers named to the Northeast All-Region Team by the GCAA. A total of 155 players across six regions --- Northeast, East, Southeast, Midwest, Central and West --- earned the honor for 2011-12. Buchanan was also named to the All-Region Team following his sophomore season in 2009-10.
Buchanan competed in nine tournaments for the Huskies in 2011-12, highlighted by his individual victory in the Hartford Hawks Invitational after winning a four-man playoff. He also had two additional Top 10 finishes, a tie for fourth at the Connecticut Cup and a tie for seventh at The Classic at Shelter Harbor. Buchanan played 26 rounds in competition for UConn this season, averaging 74.73 per round, with two rounds in the 60s and nine rounds of even par or better.
Buchanan has been a BIG EAST Academic All-Star throughout his college career and has been named to the All-BIG EAST and All-New England golf teams.
