GAME NOTES
Connecticut Huskies (8-2) vs. Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks (0-10)

- UConn improved their all-time record against Maryland Eastern Shore to 2-0, with their previous win coming in a 102-63 victory during the 1987-88 season
- Head Coach Frankie Allen falls to 34-96 in his 5th season at UMES and 257-384 in his coaching career
- Tonight's game marked the first time the Huskies have had a 30-plus point win since a 77-40 victory against Holy Cross on 12/18/11
- Omar Calhoun set a career high with 22 points on 8-11 shooting from the field
- The Huskies finished the game shooting 66% (33-50) from the field. It was the first 60-percent shooting game for UConn since they shot 60.4% against St. John's on 12/31/11. It was the fourth-highest shooting percentage since 1980.
- Ryan Boatright set a new career high with five three pointers made- He shot (5-6) from beyond the arc. It was the first time a UConn player has made 5+ 3 pt FG in a game since Shabazz Napier hit 6 against Florida State on 11/26/11
- Both teams struggled shooting FT in the first half, combining to go 5-16 (31%) at the free throw line (UConn 4-10/UMES 1-6)
- After taking an early 2-0 lead, UMES allowed the Huskies to go on a 9-0 run helped by five points from Omar Calhoun
- The Huskies shot 62.5% (15-24) from the field in the first half including 5-8 from beyond the arc
- Ryan Boatright led all scorers at halftime with 13 points on (5-6) shooting
- UConn improves to 6-0 on the season when leading at halftime
- The Huskies had four players in double figures (Daniels, Boatright, Napier, Calhoun) for the first time since 11/16/12 against Wake Forest
- With their win tonight, the Huskies improve to 227-83 in 37 seasons when playing in Hartford, including a 2-0 record this season
- Big East teams now have a 120-27 record against other D1 opponents this year
