Zach Zaback Named BIG EAST Golfer of the Month

STORRS, Conn. - Zaback earns BIG EAST Men's Golf Player of the Month honors by notching a pair of top-10 finishes. The freshman shot a 211 (73-69-69) to finish five under par and take first place at the Connecticut Cup on Oct. 8-9 at the Ellington Ridge Country Club in Ellington, Conn. The Huskies finished third overall at the Connecticut Cup. Zaback shot a 217 (71-73-73) at the Wendy's Kiawah Classic on Oct. 28-30 in Kiawah Island, S.C., finishing tied for sixth out of 135 on the par 71 Turtle Point Golf Course.
UConn finished the fall season with the Wendy's Kiawah Classic and will be off until the spring season.
