The lone goal of the game for UNH came early on as Emma Clark, assisted by Bryanna Farris and Caroline Broderick, lit the lamp for her first goal of the season.
In a game that lacked offense on either side, the Wildcats held a 21-15 advantage in shots, 14 of which came in the first period.
Senior goaltender Alexandra Garcia (Point-Claire, Que.) made 20 saves for UConn, but was outdone by Lindsey Minton's 15 stops.
Both teams went on the power play four times and neither was able to find the back of the net with a one skater advantage. The
UConn and UNH take to the ice for a matinee game tomorrow at 4:00 pm.
