STORRS, Conn. - UConn women's soccer senior goalkeeper Jessica Dulski(Pittsford, N.Y.) was named this week's BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week after totaling 16 saves against two nationally ranked opponents. This week's accolade comes after being named to the BIG EAST honor roll the previous week.
"Dulski has done a wonderful job so far this year. She does an excellent job preparing herself mentally for games and has shown wonderful consistency. The exciting part is that she is still improving each week. She was very good against both Wake Forest and Virginia Tech and produced the type of performances in both games that will allow is to compete with anyone in the country," said Connecticut assistant coach Zac Shaw.
Dulski, who earned her second career BIG EAST honor, recorded 11 saves against No. 15/17 Wake Forest in the Huskies 2-1 victory. Dulski concluded the Wake Forest Nike Challenge with five saves against No. 25 Virginia Tech in UConn's 1-0 loss.
On the season, Dulski has tallied 22 saves with a 1.00 GAA and one shutout.
Dulski and the Huskies continue the 2011 season on Friday, September 9, at Joseph J. Morrone stadium for a 7 p.m. matchup against Boston University.
