Julie Towers Named To BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

STORRS, Conn. - It was announced by the BIG EAST Conference that UConn senior Julianne Towers (Goodlettsville, Tenn.) has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll. Towers hit .438 with three home runs and seven RBI in five games last week.
Towers has had a strong season at the plate in her senior campaign. She leads Connecticut (13-15) in all offensive categories including: batting average (.386), runs (23), hits (34), doubles (10), triples (2), home runs (7), RBI (26) and slugging percentage (.784).
Towers now ranks second all-time at Connecticut with 24 home runs and third all-time with 40 doubles.
UConn faces Boston College today at the Connecticut Softball Stadium in Storrs beginning at 3:30.
