ALBANY, N.Y. - Eight Huskies were able to post individual victories this afternoon, with four coming in track events and four in field events, as the University of Connecticut men's track and field team posted 89 team points in the second annual Dogfight. The Albany Great Danes were led by nine top finishes, as they topped the Huskies with 105 team points.
"We had a lot of opportunities today, but Albany just out-matched us in some events," head coach Greg Roy said. "We were able to close it down in a few events, but we just couldn't close it out for the meet. We had some issues with our lineup going in, but we knew that and we weren't able to capitalize when we needed to. We knew it would be a close meet and we needed to pick up every point that we could, but we just didn't do that in the end."

Drinks won the event with a time of 10.64, while Smith placed second with a time of 10.72 and Cummings was seventh in 10.85.
