UConn Softball Announces Hitting And Pitching Clinic

STORRS,Conn. - The UConn softball team announced that they will be hosting a hitting and pitching clinic on Saturday, February 4, at the Greer Field House on campus in Storrs, Conn.
The Husky hitting clinic will be held from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. and is open from ages 8-18. The athletes will learn the fundamentals of hitting through master instruction and participation in a variety of drills used at the collegiate level. The clinic, taught by UConn coaches and athletes, will provide the tolls to become a better and more explosive hitter.
Following the hitting clinic, the Huskies will hold a pitching clinic from 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. for ages 8-18. Pitchers will be grouped into Beginners and Advanced. Beginners will improve their skills by learning the basic, proper mechanics of pitching, utilizing each pitcher's individual strengths and body types. Advanced pitchers will build upon basic skills to increase the effectiveness of their pitches, including grips, spins and body positioning.
The cost of each clinic is individually $100 with registration and payments due by January 28.
