Ford and King Invited to MLS Combine

STORRS, Conn. - University of Connecticut men's soccer standouts Josh Ford and Greg King have been chosen to participate in the 2011 adidas MLS Combine set for Jan. 7-11 at Central Broward Regional Park in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. A list of 54 college seniors from 36 Division I schools have been invited to participate.
The Huskies send two players to the event, while Notre Dame is the only other BIG EAST Conference program to send more than one player. Notre Dame will send four of its athletes, while Louisville, Seton Hall and USF will each send one representative.
North Carolina and California will both send five players to the combine, marking the most of any Division I collegiate team this year.
The coaching and management staffs of all 16 MLS teams will be in attendance to scout talent at the 2011 adidas MLS Player Combine, which concludes two days before the 2011 MLS SuperDraft.
The 2011 MLS SuperDraft will be held on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011 in Baltimore at the Baltimore Convention Center.
