Rutt Takes Sixth In 800-Meter Final at USATF Championship

EUGENE, Oregon - University of Connecticut mid-distance runner Mike Rutt (Sinking Springs, Pa.) completed his time at the USATF with a sixth place finals finish in the 800-meter run. Rutt finished with a time of 1:47.57.
The top three finishers, Nicholas Symmonds (Oregon TC Elite), Khadevis Robinson (Nike) and Ryan Brown (Asics) all move on to the Track and Field World Championship in Berlin.
This was the first time in his career that Rutt competed at the USATF Championship. He finished his red shirt season with a personal best time of 1:46.47 at the New Balance Twilight Series Meet in Boston.
