STORRS, Conn. - Fans of University of Connecticut athletics now have yet another way to keep up with the Huskies through the development of the nation's fastest growing on-line social network, Twitter.
The official UConn Division of Athletics website, UConnHuskies.com, has created its own Twitter page where Husky fans can stay connected with all 24 varsity athletics programs on campus, as well as receive other up-to-the-second breaking news and updates on other topics in the world of UConn athletics.
Twitter is a free social networking service that allows its users to send and read updates, also known as "tweets." Tweets can be received on a user's cell phone via text or on the web. It is free to join Twitter and UConn fans can easily sign up at www.twitter.com/signup or by going directly to the official UConn Athletics Twitter page at twitter.com/UConnAthletics.
