STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut softball game vs. Quinnipiac to take place on Wednesday, April 22 has been cancelled due to the impending weather coming across the state of Connecticut.
The game would have been the second part of a home-and-away series, but will not be made up. UConn won the first game in this season's series, 5-2 at Quinnipiac.
The Huskies will return to action tomorrow when they face No. 17/21 Massachusetts on the Burrill Family Field at the Connecticut Softball Complex at 4:00 p.m.
UConn and UMass have met 81 times in the past since competition between the two teams began in 1976, in UConn's second year as a varsity program. The series record is all-tied up at 40-40-1, but UMass has won eight of the last ten games.
UConn's last win against the Minutewomen came on April 21, 2004, a 4-3 victory in Storrs.
