Toys From SAAC Drive Delivered

The University of Connecticut Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) held a Toy Drive at a pair of men's and women's basketball games in early December and we would like to thank all those that donated and made the event a great success!
On Monday, those toys were delivered to a number of organizations that will distribute the toys and make the holidays happier for many people. Among those making the deliveries were student-athletes from the UConn women's basketball team.
The toys were delivered to: The Cornerstone Foundation in Rockville, Conn.; The Village For Families And Children in Hartford; and the Manchester Area Council of Churches in Manchester, Conn.
"We truly appreciate all of the Husky fans who donated toys to help us bring smiles to some young people in our community this holiday season," says Director of Athletics Jeff Hathaway. "Our student-athletes continue to show their commitment to `giving back' through various outreach activities during the academic year. We thank the many student-athletes who were involved in this collection effort and our loyal fans for their heartwarming participation."
