Larson Named AHA Rookie Of The Week

HAVERHILL, Mass. - After a 2-0 weekend, University of Connecticut freshman goaltender Jeff Larson (Ballwin, Mo.) has been named the Atlantic Hockey Association Rookie of the Week.
Larson finished the weekend with 48 saves and a 1.00 GAA allowing just one goal in each game to American International. He ended the weekend with an outstanding .960 save percentage.
The rookie played all 120 minutes between the pipes for the Huskies and has played the majority of the time in goal for UConn this season. Larson earned the first two wins of his collegiate career against AIC, notching the first win in a 3-1 victory on Friday night.
Larson and the Huskies are back in action this weekend at Canisius with games on Saturday and Sunday at 3:05 p.m.
