Golf Finishes in Tenth Place at BIG EAST Championship

HEBRON, Ky. (April 22, 2008)-- University of Connecticut senior Brian Travalja finished in a tie for 18th place overall as the Huskies completed play Tuesday at the 2008 BIG EAST Men's Golf Championship at the Traditions Golf Club.
The Huskies finished the three-day tourney in tenth place in the team competition. Marquette University captured the team title by two strokes over Louisville, 874-876. Marquette's Ted Gray completed a wire-to-wire victory in the individual competition, finishing at five-under 211, and was the only player in the 60-man field to finish under par.
Travalja shot scores of 74-75-75 for a 224 total and his tie for 18th place standing. Husky freshman Matt Dubrowski fired a 73 Tuesday to finish at 225 and a tie for 25th place.
The BIG EAST Championship was the final spring competition for the Huskies.
