Women's Tennis Action Concludes At Army Invitational

WEST POINT, N.Y. (September 16, 2007) - The University of Connecticut women's tennis wrapped up competition at the Army Invitational Sunday with participation in two back draw events.
Emily Herb (Cherry Hill, N.J.) won the "Survivor Saturday B" group, defeating Stony Brook's Erica Federgreen, 8-1, in the championship match.
"Emily went 5-1 in singles matches, and won her #3 singles consolation flight," said head coach Glenn Marshall. "I am very pleased with her progress this weekend."
In the "Survivor Saturday A" action, Kelly LoRusso (Shoreham, N.Y.) fell, 8-6, to Denise Liebschner of Seton Hall in the flight semifinal.
The Huskies return to action this weekend at the Quinnipiac Invitational in Hamden against Rhode Island, Army, Seton Hall, Binghamton and UMBC.
